Wedding album printing, and a guestbook to match

You or your photographer design the album, we print it from one copy. A layflat opens completely flat, so a photo can run across both pages. We also print the guestbook and the signs for the venue.

What you can print for your wedding

Album files

You upload a finished PDF. Many photographers design the album in their own software. Doing it yourself works in Canva, InDesign, Affinity Publisher or any tool that exports a PDF at the book's size with 3 mm bleed.

The cover is a separate file: back, spine and front in one, with 19 mm extra all round to wrap the board. The spine width depends on the page count; the product page gives the cover size. More in the print-ready PDF guide.

A photo across a full 30 × 30 cm spread is 606 × 306 mm with bleed: about 7150 pixels wide at 300 dpi, at least 3580 at 150 dpi. An album of 60 to 80 pages holds 100 to 150 photos.

Printing your photographer's JPEG spreads

Album software often exports one JPEG per spread. We print those once they're in one PDF, and split each spread into two pages when you upload.

  1. 1

    Check the spread size

With bleed, a spread is 606 × 306 mm for a 30 × 30 cm layflat and 426 × 216 mm for 21 × 21 cm. Ask your photographer for an export at that size.

  2. 2

First and last page stand alone

A book starts on a right-hand page and ends on a left-hand page, so those two are single pages in the PDF.

  3. 3

    Put everything in one PDF

In InDesign, Affinity Publisher or Scribus, make a document at the spread size, place one JPEG per page at full size and export. Don't re-save the JPEGs at lower quality.

  4. 4

    Check the preview

The preview shows the book in spreads, so you see whether every pair lines up before you pay.

Which book for which album

A lined guestbook, ready to print

The inside of the guestbook as a PDF: a title page and 48 pages with grey lines, at the size of the hardcover. Upload it with your own cover, or add your names first.

Guestbook

A guestbook is a hardcover with inside pages you design: your names, the date and a photo first, then blank or lined pages for the guests. For 100 guests, 48 to 64 pages is enough. Keep the writing area 15 mm from the binding.

Choose standard matte or recycled matte paper. Ballpoint, gel pen and felt tip work on both; on gloss, ink smears. Ask guests to leave the book open for a minute, or wet ink prints onto the opposite page.

Order it four to six weeks ahead, so you can test your pens on the first copy.
