When is Mother's Day?
The second Sunday of May in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the US; this time that's 9 May. Antwerp traditionally celebrates on 15 August, the UK has Mothering Sunday in March or early April, and France usually the last Sunday of May.

Collect the photos
Ask your siblings, your father or her friends. Scan old prints at 300 dpi, or photograph them flat in daylight from straight above.

A short memory from each child and grandchild, placed next to the photos from that time.

In order, from her childhood to now. A square 21 × 21 cm book takes old and new photos in both orientations; 24 pages is the minimum, 40 to 60 gives room. For photos across two pages without a fold, see photo book or layflat.
