Frequently asked questions
Can I get my poster framed?
Yes, up to A2: choose a black frame under Hanging system. Poster hangers are possible in those sizes too. A1 and A0 come without.
Matte or glossy paper?
Matte doesn't reflect the light, so it's easy to look at anywhere: nice for art and text. Glossy gives deeper, shinier colours, but reflects the light.
What resolution do I need?
For sharp photos, 300 dpi at the size you choose. The specifications show how many pixels that is: choose "px" there.
What if my file has a different size?
Then we zoom in until it fits exactly, and what falls outside is cut off. If more than 2% is lost, we warn you. The preview shows you right away how it turns out.
What is bleed?
An edge of a few millimetres around your design, which is cut off after printing. Let backgrounds and photos run into the bleed, so you get no white edges.
Portrait or landscape?
Choose it in the list of sizes. If you upload a landscape file, we choose the landscape version for you.
Do you check my design?
We automatically check that your file has the right size and number of pages. We don't check the content, like spelling and colours: we print what you upload. So check the preview carefully.
