Product details
A book with a soft, flexible cover, also called a softcover. The pages are printed, trimmed clean and glued into the cover with strong PUR glue, so the book stays together, even when it's read often. For a novel, poetry collection, yearbook or your own story.
Frequently asked questions
Which files do I need?
A PDF of your pages, and a file for the cover: the back, the spine and the front side by side. The specifications show the exact sizes.
How many pages can it have?
24 to 200 pages; the small A6 up to 120. Fewer than 24? Then we add blank pages at the end.
How thick will the spine be?
That depends on the number of pages. In the specifications you fill in the number of pages and see how thick the spine will be, and how wide your cover has to be.
Paperback or hardcover?
A paperback has a soft, flexible cover; a hardcover a sturdy board cover. Both are bound with strong PUR glue, so they stay together when they're read often.
Matte or glossy cover?
Matte feels soft and doesn't reflect the light. Glossy makes colours shine.
What is bleed?
An edge of a few millimetres around your design, which is cut off after printing. Let backgrounds and photos run into the bleed, so you get no white edges.
My PDF has an odd number of pages. Is that OK?
Yes. We add blank pages at the end until the number is right.
Do you check my design?
We automatically check that your file has the right size and number of pages. We don't check the content, like spelling and colours: we print what you upload. So check the preview carefully.
